A CIDADE EVICTA is a project dealing with the personal, emotional & financial instability of living in a city that has nothing to say to those that built and continue to feed it.

"It is impossible to create a sense of identity when you live somewhere that changes every day," fós explains, expanding on the themes of A CIDADE EVICTA, "Cranes are the only permanent structure in Porto. Everything else is under the constant risk of having its face totally rearranged, being completely destroyed and replaced with something else, or - if foreign economic interests haven't yet found a way to make a profit out of it - simply left to rot and collapse into ruin. Living in a city that is so openly hostile to your presence in it, and your contributions to it in the form of labor & art, is to live in a perpetual state of alienation. That feeling is where these sounds come from."

A CIDADE EVICTA is an ongoing project that aims to call attention to these issues. aside from the music composed for it, fós intends to bring a physical aspect to the project as well as reinforce its theme through visuals in the coming months.
